The goal for the Roval engineering team was simple—the Rapide Cockpit had to be the fastest bar we've ever made, with no compromises. AERODYNAMIC: Removing the cluster of hardware (where stem and handlebar connect) allowed us to design the bar's leading edge a single airfoil. The Zipp SL 80 Race does just that as a premium aero-road carbon bar explicitly designed for use with the SRAM RED AXS groupset. The bar features an overhang to cover the brake hose where it exits the hood. This shelf creates a platform that mates with the brake lever, providing an ideal perch for your hands while riding on the hoods. The drop shape has been refined to give the rider easy access to the brake lever while riding in the drops. The SL 80 Race also has defined locators marked on the drop and the bar top for easy placement of SRAM Wireless Blips. The bar top has a wing shape for improved aerodynamic efficiency, while also including key innovations for you to comfortably ride on the bar tops. Ideal for long climbs or for those who love to grab the tops and go, the bar top has a slight down sweep, so your hands don’t sit flat. The top sections of previous aero-road bars typically were not taped, leaving uncomfortable and potentially slippery carbon to hold in the tops position. The ENVE Road Stem is a staple component in our line and often under-appreciated for the benefits it provides out on the road. The stem plays a key role by connecting your bike to your handlebars and it must manage all the forces that you put into your bike. On the road, the 100% uni-directional carbon body provides a lightweight structure that is torsionally and laterally stiff to ensure that inputs into steering and accelerating are positive and confidence-inspiring. Over rough roads, the carbon fiber laminate helps absorb vibration and reduce hand and upper body fatigue. To further reduce weight, all stem hardware is constructed from lightweight titanium. The E100 name is not used lightly and represents the culmination of nearly 20 years of creating the highest quality carbon components on the market. The new E100 road bar uses the same critically acclaimed Maximum Contact Drop (MCD) shape as our other premium road bars, with a stiff mid-section and long tails at the end of the drops for optimized ride characteristics and more hand positions.
